I really like the composition Lewis - the two characters moving in opposite direction. Full of action, intent and drama! Black and white backgrounds implying good and evil.

Excellent work Lew. It the little details that make your work so outstanding, like the brick work in the bottom corner.

Great sketch, Lewis, I really like black and white monochrome, it’s very appealing.

Thank you Linda, Dixie and Jenny. Your comments are appreciated.

I have always like black and white images, lots of movement in this sketch.

I really like this. I love that your work is full of so much detail. How long does a piece like this take you to do?

Thank you Jill, Gudrun and Tracey. I can't give a precise time for this work, Tracey. But not long, maybe a couple of hours.

Drawing with line and solid blacks, no real attempt at shading. This is a style found in Book and Graphic Novel illustration that I admire very much. Not as easy as I'd thought (nothing new there). I had to resist the temptation to add some shading. Drew the man first, just as a sketch...then decided to add the girl to turn it into a picture. So the composition is a little awkward. Drawn with 0.5 Edding pen, black sky painted with ink and brush, stars added with white gel pen.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
