Love pen and wash - this is great, Lewis, really like the style and subject.

Good to see you back and in form Lew. Amazing detail and patience in there (and that great imagination at work). (-:

So many little gems hiding away in this that you don't notice at first. Lovely work as always Lewis.

A magical piece Lewis, I applaud your skill and talent

So much to look at Lewis. An other super posting !

Thank you Jenny, Jim, Val, Russell and Richard for your generous and encouraging comments. This is actually pen and water soluble graphite pencil, now my favorite combo for this type of picture.

Terrific characters especially the one scrabbling over the log.

Lewis, you are marvellous at this! Fantastic, as always.

Amazing in the detail and tonal variety. A great one to come back with, Lewis.

Thanks again to all who've taken the trouble to comment. Much appreciated.

Yep. Looks like a Tolkein. Love their faces.

From the Tolkein stories. A decaying, mystical forest, in which a group of dwarfs get lost. (Had a hectic couple of weeks, no time for art or POL...sorry I haven't been commenting.)

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
