POP ART - mixed media

Fantastic Lew. Each one tells a story. Thanks for your drawings, characters and words through the year, always make me smile x

Wow Lewis, these are great, so colourful and interesting to look at.

Love each and every one of them.

I have to agree with Denise, Wow was my first thought they are superb Lew and so vibrant. Each one is a great piece of art on its own , you can stop being a closet pop artist now and let it all flow. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing more .

Wow, they pack a colourful punch Lew. My favourite is the gallery attendant ... you can tell it's his favourite painting!

The expression on the face of the gallery attendant is brilliant.

Very eye popping and as usual, plenty of narratives to enjoy. Love your bold use of colour Lewis.

Clarice Cliff in the pink hat??

Thanks to everyone for your great feedback. Yes the colours are bright, I normally use bright colours anyway, but my drawings aren't as vivid as these...in photoshop I've increased the colour saturation a lot. Maggie, I hadn't thought of Clarice Cliff when I was drawing the girl...but Clarice used bold colour...so I'll take that comparison happily.

Every one a gem Lewis. I think I might have said that before!?

Great combination, Lewis, bright and bold! I especially like the unusual composition bottom left.

Such an array of colours and characters. Each picture brilliant!

Top quality art Lewis!

Starting the New Year as you finished the old. Keep them coming Lewis !!

Great stuff Luis.

Fab pop art, mixed media and colourful. Just great 👍

Wow lewis these are great

Fantastic characters which radiate humour and colour. I too like the art gallery attendant but the bloke holding the stop sign really had me chuckling. Is the road closed due to ‘Rolling Stones’ or am I reading too much into the hot lips logo above his left shoulder?

Been playing at Pop Art, a genre which I like. 6 small pics, thought I'd post them in one go rather than dragging it across several days. Most pop art is highly saturated with bold outlines...a way I like to paint anyway. Some new drawings and a few old ones fiddled with in photoshop, I like bright colour but my stuff isn't this bright. Colour saturation has been ramped right up...you might need your sunglasses.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
