Interesting thought. Excellent.

Excellent work Lew done in your excellent style the characters are superb and beautifully drawn . I’m pleased that you did keep going we got to see a great Lew Cooper fantasy painting .

Really like your sci-fi work, Lewis, this is great, lots of little details to see, and lovely colours.

Love it, especially the little creature covering the child’s? eyes 😱

I just love this Lewis. Excellent work.

what was it - "Oh would some beastie the power gie us to see ourselves as others see us " Robbie Burns ??

Hideousness is in the eye of the beholder! I recently commented on the Mona Lisa “Long nose, narrow mouth, no eyebrows or eyelashes, jaundiced skin tone, frizzy hair and chubby chops. Other than that she is beautiful.”

Great work Lewis- just love your variety of aliens!

Brilliantly painted in your usual characterful sketch!! Keep at it Lew, we all get in the doldrums sometime or other, at least we have our painting to keep us occupied !!

Good to see you back posting Lewis!

You've delivered what you set out to do. Your work is always good, don't have self doubts!

Great insight and imagination Lewis and of course superbly painted as always. I think we all hit a plateau and don’t know a way forward sometimes. Good to have a break and gather stimulus. I’m sure you’ll be back in full swing when we gradually get out of this situation.

Thanks everybody for your great comments and encouragement.

This made me laugh out loud Lewis, it was the little bird thingy with its foot/hand/flipper over the youngsters eyes! So funny!

I find your thought process fascinating Lew... Crazy man.

I've been struggling lately. Lost interest. I'd start stuff and not finish it. Decided to keep going on this. It's supposed to show how a planet's inhabitants are appalled by the physical appearance of a visiting astronaut. 20 x 16 inches, mixed media, 300gsm paper.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
