Great to see your paintings again Lewis. Really like her and her companions.

This is so unworldly Lewis. Its diaphanous quality has a magnetic appeal.

Wonderful spooky light, could tell a good tale Lew.

Interesting colour Lewis. Love that neck collar.

Great work Lew. The overall effect is indicative of the mysterious.

She looks mysterious, thoughtful and has a lovely face. Love the other two mischievous looking characters in the background as well!

Thanks to all for your great comments. Very much appreciated.

Great painting Lew, the green look luminous it must have taken some experimenting to get the effect. I did read you post in the forum, it was interesting.

My sort of painting lewis. loving the green, not easy to do but I think it works well, I love the fact that it has a yellow tinge in places. It creates a warm glow, of light over her.

You capture the characters superbly Lewis.

It's the autumn light that makes things look strange in photgraphs. Great work.

My second attempt at this character. Didn't like the first. I showed it in the forum, but didn't post it in the Gallery. The mythical Queen of faery-folk. Largely benign, but she likes to mess with people's dreams. Shakespeare used her in two plays, renaming her Titania in one. Not a good reproduction, it's too yellow. I tried correcting it in Photoshop (usually easy), but it this case it made things worse. Should be mainly green, the yellow patches aren't on my picture. Mixed media. A4.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
