Here's an idea that was great inside my head, that didn't quite make the transition to paper (often the case, especially when you're making stuff up.) I didn't like these tan sketchbooks at first, but I've changed my mind. This is my second one, and I'm reserving it for colour portraits...not of real people but 'portraits' from my imagination. It's mixed media...pen, soluble color pencils, watercolour, and a little gouache. I find these Strathmore books stand up to that pretty well, provided I don't go mad with the water.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
