Mr Flamboyant. (Strathmore Tan Sketchbook)

Excellent, funny I know someone like this!

Just wonderful Lewis.

Very typical of a few I've known Lew. Beautifully represented as ever, although bow ties are also in eveidence with this type....(-:

Excellent. I am pleased you like the paper now. I have some Strathmore 500 something gray. Interesting paper

A good expression..he looks hopeful!

I wouldn’t buy a car from him Lewis! Love his style of dress.

What a character...what a tie.

Thanks to everyone for your great feedback.

Looks like an artist with his little goatee beard :)

I think this must be an artist Lewis, probably sells lots of paintings!!! A great character and a ladies man by the look of him!

You've been peeping in my wardrobe again Lewis. !!! Brought a smile to my face when I saw this. I am always amazed at your unlimited imagination.

Looks familiar! - great painting.

Here's an idea that was great inside my head, that didn't quite make the transition to paper (often the case, especially when you're making stuff up.) I didn't like these tan sketchbooks at first, but I've changed my mind. This is my second one, and I'm reserving it for colour portraits...not of real people but 'portraits' from my imagination. It's mixed media...pen, soluble color pencils, watercolour, and a little gouache. I find these Strathmore books stand up to that pretty well, provided I don't go mad with the water.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
