You captured the gesture of the French way of speaking Lew, her eyes and set of the mouth :)

Lewis, the painting is great - you would have been the only one in the know regarding execution v intention - just call it artistic licence.

So typically French... hoping to see the revised version!

Ha ha I like your description of the " lady" Lewis, made me laugh she does look like a madam waiting for payment 😂

To me it looks great and very French. Great work as dual Lewis.

Marvellous interpretation of the French.

Great memories recorded Lew, and beautifully captured. Love the sleezy furtive peek of the bar fly. Keep em coming...(-:

Thanks to all for your comments, on this slight misfire. I enjoyed making the picture, anyway...if I'm honest, very few pictures come out exactly as I'd hoped.

hehe marvellous

The guy seated at the bar...great lecherous expression.

Wonderful Lewis, unmistakably French! 😀

Many years ago we had a holiday in a small hotel in the heart of Paris. The ground floor was a bar, used mostly by french people. The owner was an elegant, well-dressed woman, with plenty of bling. She always had a gauloise on the go, and she had a great Gallic shrug. It was one of our best holidays. But I've made the elegant lady look like a hard-bitten type who provides horizontal recreation for a fee.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
