As ever it's a great sketch and shows your imagination and ability Lew.

Another brilliant work from the master

Fabulous and the fractal noise in the background really makes it jump off the page.

Thank you Jim, Margaret, Robert and David, for your encouraging comments. Yes David, the black background added in photoshop is a great shortcut, with the added benefit that you can get rid of it if you don't like it.

Another stormer, Lewis, and I love the spectral luminosity of Jacob's ghost. Classy work. Bri

My favourite book - received when I was 10 and read every Christmas since then. Don't have to be around the body - it was by choice he made the chain. Like it.

I don't think anything you do is 'only a sketch' Lewis. Love the addition of the background it really makes the figure pop from the page.

Thanks again to all who've commented, much appreciated. We're the same Mike, we have a dog-eared copy of the book, and just before Christmas we always watch a DVD. We like the Alistair Sim version best,

It's wonderful as always Lewis, your talent always amazes me.

My grandson was telling me he's studying Dicken's Christmas Carol at school, we watched a film while he was staying with us. That prompted this sketch. Once I had the sketch on my PC, I decided to add the background in Photoshop. So this version- with the dark background-only exists as a digital file. When I finished the sketch, I realised I should have put some chains around his body...ah well, never mind, it's only a sketch.
