Ha ha, poor Norbert, I know the feeling well 😀 as soon as your backs turned, like the unusual colour palette.

Dogs come in all shapes and sizes, fortunately. This reminds me of when my father came home from work - mother said 'your dinner's on the table'. He went into the kitchen. Returned, a sadder and wiser man. 'Actually,' he said, 'it's in the dog.'

Thank you Linda, Sandra and Robert, for your welcome feedback. We don't have a dog, my son has recently got a miniature Schnauzer ( a bit like a terrier or scotty for all we non-doggy types). He's only a puppy but is into everything, he recently, with utmost skill, removed the ham from my sandwich...therebye converting it into a bread and butter sandwich.

Brilliant, as always, Lewis!

Mines the opposite, I can trust her completely with food that she knows isn't hers ( she has been known to help herself to her treats ) but guard the house....no chance :)

Love it, Lewis - few dogs would resist the temptation if a tasty morsel is within reach and no-one's looking! Nice colour palette.

Ha, so very true and an obvious dog owner wrote that Lew. Well spotted and illustrated. (-:

Looks as though he enjoyed it lewis! Great fun.

How did you know my dog is like that!! Seriously, this is so typical of my dog, he pinches anything that is left around-keeps us on our toes though! Great drawing Lewis.

Wonderful and so true.

enjoyed both expressions - says it all

Heard or saw this quote somewhere, although it was about a big German Alsatian rather than this little mutt. Thought I'd use a colour for the shading. Pen outlines, shaded with an orange watercolour pencil. Probably should have looked at some dog pics before drawing this...to lazy for a quick sketch.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
