It is very good Lewis but I do prefer your actual drawings.

It's better than good Lew and highly skilled work, quite incredible but I too prefer the traditional drawings which you're a master at anyway.

It is quite an impressive piece without doubt Lew.

You're easily displeased .... But I think you're right. And having lost an entire morning trying to connect a laptop to my MS and Google accounts, my fondness for all things computer related has receded somewhat.... Even so: most people would be more than happy with your digital image - but then; you're not most people.

Thank you Tony, Jim, Alan and Robert for your welcome comments. I think the digital image is OK, it's just that I preferred the rough sketches I'd done before I began the digital version. I think I could do a better picture using trad materials...perhaps I will. (Not the same as this, of course.)

I echo what the others have said. I've just taken a look at the rest of your gallery too, and I really love your style. There's some really wonderful work.

Very impressive work Lewis. I agree with you about the main character, your original drawing has a better expression.

Thank you Joanne and Margaret.

Have to agree with the comments, here, Lewis. As Jim and Robert say, you're a master and so very skilled...wouldn't have a clue where to start! Looking forward to my usual morning giggle with you!

Same here, Lew. The digital work is still very impressive, and it really IS, but your assessment is spot on. "The sketch has more life and character" Nevertheless, I enjoyed both. Bri

Haven't been around for a week, no time even for my sketchbook. Thought I'd post this older digital pic. It was while I was making this that I decided to stop making digital. On the right is a preliminary sketch I made of the main character...I did the same for all the characters. Drew them afresh for the digital pic, scanned the new outline drawings into photoshop, and produced the full digital image. A bit underwhelmed by it.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
