You never fail to raise a smile with your work :)

Great way to start the week Lew. Thanks (-:

Thanks Lew for my morning smile! Love all the detail in your lady sketch, she is beautiful. All wonderful ;)

Clever, well drawn and always amusing it’s what keeps us going Lewis.

Great sketches as always, Lewis.

More great characters from your sketchbook, Lewis, they always make me smile - love the artist carrying his gear on his flat cap!

Ha ha, Fabulous work as always, just love the expression on the teacher...the kids must have all left for the day!

Never a dull moment with your brilliant sketches, Lewis. Hooters anon again I see! I'm not plein airing at the moment, either, far too hot...and windy again!

They are all wonderful Lewis, I particularly like the artist, so funny.

I love all three, Lewis, but the artist is an absolute hoot. Great work, simply great. Bri

Thanks very much to everybody for your generous comments.

Love it :)

Three more pics. The drawing of a statue in my garden is the nearest I get to en plein aire work. Some may see it as a cartoonish figure, to me it resembles the chunky simplified sculpture of the 1930's. I love it. Our son got it for us on our 50th Anniversary. A relatively quick sketch, but a good 'likeness'.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
