Curiouser and curiouser.
The Alice stories are popular with illustrators and artists. I've had a few tries. This time I made a point of not using reference material. This brings it's own problems. Not entirely satisfied with it. It's pen and ink, with a thin wash of watercolour. I like this method, all the work is done with the pen, it takes moments to add the wash. It was a mistake to use colour washes on the central panels, it would look better all black and white (or all one colour).
About the Artist
Lewis Cooper
Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
