Ha ha love the quotes very true and love the face Lewis.

Great caricature, Lewis, and I especially like the middle quote!

Great sketch and telling and truthful quotes Lewis. Good work.

Love the quotes Lewis, and another brilliant sketch 😃

I admire Dali's work and craziness and that moustache haha!. And it's still intact I read. He won't give it up that easily. I like the second quote, so true! Fab drawing of him. He would have loved it I'm sure Lewis.

Great quotes and love the paintbrushes on his wrist!

Spoken like the man himself and quite true Lewis great representation

This made my day Lewis – so funny!

Ver' good: and I like the first quote, too - it's completely true, and a useful corrective to those who yearn for total originality in the happy delusion that such a thing is possible.

I love the quotes Lewis, so true! and your artwork as always is superb.

Thanks to all for looking and your comments. With Dali there's an abundance of quotes worth depicting...a few other quotes..."There are some days when I think I'm going to die from an overdose of satisfaction."..."Since I don't smoke, I decided to grow a mustache, it's better for the health."..."The sole difference between myself and a madman, is that I'm not mad."

I love it Lewis and I love him and his philosophy.

Love the paint brushes over his wrist....very Dali. The second quote of his you’ve highlighted is the quote that made me start enjoying art.......it’s never going to be perfect, so why worry about how it turns out.

Another gem, and here´s one attributed to Picasso - Good artists copy; great artists steal.

I'm a sucker for art quotes, and the net is awash with them. This time I've chosen somebody who could actually paint...though he doesn't appeal to everybody. Not my best caricature, but the mustache ought to do it. From my A3 sketchbook. Watercolour & pen, text put on in photoshop.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
