Sorry Lewis , seems that I lived a deprived childhood - I know them not. However , still recognised your style.

Just put a note on the forum, guessing at Fungus the Bogeyman.

Haven’t got a clue, Lewis, but love the cartoon!

Thank you Heather, Mike and Jenny. I can assure you Heather, in this book the women are as bad as the men. Not the Beano, Jenny. You will know the man, he's written several books, most of which have been filmed for TV. His work appeals to kids and adults, although some are more for adults. They are graphic novels (or comics, if you like).

Not familiar with it Lew, but it made me laugh.

Love everything about this Lewis. Are they characters from the comic “Viz”?

Thanks everybody for looking and guessing. Tony has the answer, it's 'Fungus the Bogeyman' by Raymond Briggs. He wrote SNOWMAN, FATHER CHRISTMAS, WHEN THE WIND BLOWS etc, etc. They are graphic novels (comics). Brilliant and often moving stuff. For Bogeymen everything is reversed from the norm. They only eat rotten food, love dirt and bad smells. If you ever had a boil and wondered where it came from...well, that's the bogeyman's job (with one light touch of his finger.) The dialogue in my pic comes from the book (slightly altered wording).

Wouldn't have got this one but it's a brilliant illustration Lewis! The Daily Pong's headline looks a bit like a Daily Mail one at the moment. More about a shortage of antibacterial hand wash though, not slime!

Ugh, disgusting Lew,😂 wouldn't have guessed this on at all 😏

Brilliant book, and drawing, Lewis, You're a star!

Didn't get it - but fabulous illustration, Lewis.

Thanks again to everybody for taking the time to comment.

Great stuff Lewis, my two children loved this when they were young.

I remember Fungus very well indeed, Lew. He was one of my favourites. This is equally enjoyable. Bri

One more for the challenge. You might know this book, been around for years, liked by kids and adults. To stop it being too easy, my characters LOOK NOTHING LIKE THOSE IN THE BOOK...but they are in the same spirit. Dialogue is a big clue.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
