How funny - three great faces!

I wouldn’t want to bump into them in the dark. Excellent drawing Lewis.

Superb drawing, it’s amazing how you can take the same person and make the tree different faces . If that’s you in the middle Lew , you must be one hard case.

You’re drawings always explode with character Lewis! I hope you find coloured pencil easier than I do as a medium - I struggle with it!

Thank you Heather, PP, and Dixie. I don't think the middle one looks like me, Dixie. That was the point...a bit alarming my wife recognised me from that...so I've failed miserably. I've changed things, for instance my neck isn't as thick as that. But do we really know what we look like?

They look like very dodgy characters Lewis. Fantastically created, as always.

Is it a ‘Most Wanted’ poster Lewis?! Wonderful characterisation.

Yes, Fiona, after my wife picking me out in this line-up, I hope I don't innocently find myself in some police identity line-up.

Interesting group, the one in the middle certainly is a real character. Excellent work.

A boy band from yesteryear perhaps? So skilfully drawn as always Lewis.

This is great, Lewis. I love your monochrome work (and the coloured work too!!!).

Always great and humorous characters Lewis.

So funny, brilliant drawing

" Oh would some beastie the power gie us to see ourselves as others see us " wasn't it Rabbie Burns who said something like that ?? and just remember - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder !!

I bet they’ve got some tales to tell! Superb sketches Lewis.

Three great faces, and a very amusing comment!

Strong character portraits and they are wonderful

When I use photo reference, I try to change things. In this I used a selfie (of me) to draw three blokes who don't look like me. The starting point was roughly a square shaped head, an oblong and a diamond. They don't look like me, that was the point. Imagine my ire, when my wife (who didn't know what this was about) said 'the middle one is you.' Gnaa!! Still, that explains why it takes me so long to shave these days.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
