Romeo, Romeo...an alternative.

Love the winkle stall version Lew, at least he wasn’t poisoned ( well unless he ate a bad winkle!)

A painting full of stories, Excellent.

Like your version better Lew, the art work is once again exceptional.

Always great stories and wonderful drawings!

Great alternative story to match the artwork Lewis.

Loving the blue you put into your fab drawings. 💙 Brilliant

Only you could produce something that is both serious and comical at the same time. Great work.

Your imagination is only surpassed by your skill Lew. (-:

But why? Lewis. Why?

Love winkles - used to gather them as a kid and boil them at home and out would come the pin - happy memories. And another great posting.

I wonder what Shakespeare would make of your version Lewis :) I so admire your imagination and drawing skills.

A great idea Lewis and superbly depicted as always

The only thing to match your wonderful sense of humour is the quality of your artwork Lewis.

Great version Lewis, with great art including the distant figures. His riotous life gives him that "lived a lot" look.

Thanks to everybody for your wonderful feedback on this drawing.

Love your narratives Lewis, along with your clever illustrations ……always a winning combination.

So was he a winkle picker? Great drawing Lewis! Normally I love seafood, having spent half the night throwing up, I’ll give it a miss today.

I’m with Marjorie here!!

Companion piece to a picture I did of an alternative version of Romeo and Juliet. A3 sketchbook, blue and black coloured pencils, plus a little watercolour. (Gone a bit wrong here and there, but that happens when you make things up).

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
