Great sketch Lew, the far away look in her eye. Love the background people included.

Your sketches are SUPERB Lew and I really like the way your imagination works

Glad to see your arty self functioning again Lew, unlike myself where inspiration and enthusiasm have flown recently! These things go in cycles it seems, especially in recent times. My initial thought is he’s picking his horse racing bets for the day, and she just ain’t interested at all! Excellent detail.

Excellent work Lew so good to see your artwork on the gallery again back to our daily treat.

That's the first thing that caught my eye, the body language in this sketch. Excellent Lewis.

Great body language from which the viewer can create a narrative. Like the effects of the blue washes and ink Lewis.

Superbly drawn as always Lewis

Super sketch, Lewis, love the pen and blue wash.

Now what is he leering at... ? As usual love it .

Super work, Lewis!

Thought provoking. Excellent.

Excellent Lewis. You have captured the contrasting attitudes of the characters very well.

Wonderful expressive work, Lewis. This is a really evocative narrative

Thanks to everybody for your great response.

Love your sketches, Lewis - can see what you mean.

I watched a documentary about New York street photographers in the 1950s. Fascinating. Each photo told a story mainly through the subject's body language. So I've imagined something along the same lines...very mild...a man showing his paper to a woman who is far away somewhere else. Pen and blue wash. (Not able to do much more than sketches at the moment...but it's the thing I like doing best.)

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
