Hang on Studio Wall

This was made with artisan handmade papers and sweet wrappers. I tore up the paper to keep the jagged edges for the waves of the sea and cut the pieces for the boat. Dark blue clear papers add to the effect of the sea. The only painting is on the rigging for the boat. It's so satisfying using these natural fibre papers. Often placing the papers together suggest an image as they have lovely textures that already look like parts of nature. It's also a lovely exercise in keeping things simple.
