I used acrylic paint on Ampersand Clayboard to paint a storm brewing over a row of beach huts. I used a palette knife initially to lay down thick paint for the sky and sand then added washes of paint. The beach huts were painted thickly then scraped away to give the impression of weathered wood and paint. Clayboard allows for scraping and scratching of the surface with all sorts of implements, you can add highlights and paint back in for all sorts of effects.
