Austrian Facade

One is tempted to think "abstract realism" if there is such a thing. If there is this is a great example, and still a great painting even if there is not.

Like the texture and composition. A beautiful painting.

Hang on Studio Wall

This Austrian Facade was painted in acrylics on scraper board. Thick paint and thin washes were scratched and scraped into to add interest and texture. The branches across the dark area of the wall were made by first scraping away the dark paint and then adding back detail.
