This is beautiful!

Beautiful, really love the colours chosen

I really like this level of abstraction works a treat

Like this a lot. For me that's saying something, as normally I find bluebell woods pictures too cliche.

A lovely painting!

Really like this, lovely semi abstract.

I like your palette knife and squeegee approach, gives a good textural feel, and an atmospheric painting.

Lovely!

Excellent work Julie, an exciting change from the usual.

This is so good

The painting is excellent and to read how it was painted made it that more enjoyable. It has the emotive dimension that only an artist can capture and arouse in the viewer, and you have captured it so well. Congratulations.

A lovely painting and I agree; a positive rethink on bluebell woods. I am not expert with the knife, but know when I see someone's work who is! Brush or knife, either way this is super work. Regards John.

This is gorgeous and love thé semi abstract approach, Julie

Thank you! What lovely comments. Glad this struck a chord with many of you. x

A beautiful original take on what can be quite a hackneyed subject.

There’s nothing twee about this beautiful painting. I think it’s absolutely beautiful.

This is gorgeous. I could get lost in these bluebells all year round! I love this approach to what can be "twee", inspiring!

All your work is good, Julie! So nice to have met you at Roundhay. Thanks for your advice and good wishes - and for looking up my gallery!!

I love the bluebells I see when walking our dogs, but I don't like the traditional 'twee' springtime bluebell wood scene. So this one, created with a palette knife and plastic squeegees, has quite a bit of darkness, yet still has the gorgeous blue accents of the bluebells, without spelling it out.
