I know exactly what you mean and this is very eye catching ... hard to paint black cats without them disappearing so that flash of red collar works really well

I love your elderly cat,

Increasingly, I do the same.... if it weren't for a bit of voluntary work, and the occasional urge to paint, looking out of the window interspersed with occasional snoozing would sum up my life quite accurately; I need to guard against that, but I think an elderly cat should be allowed total freedom to do what he likes - at least he can't stalk songbirds in his sleep. You carry on, Jasper: you have the right idea. Incidentally, I like the way you've painted him and the shapes you've conveyed - it just lifts this painting into something a bit special.

I really like how you have painted this !

Thanks for your comments - I’ll pass them on to Jasper :)

We have an elderly cat that spends a lot of time just looking out of the window or sleeping. Sometimes I know how he feels 🙂 Acrylic on canvas paper, 9” x 12”
