The out of focus background is a touch of genius. When I saw the thumbnail, my first thought was that's a photograph. Oh no it isn't - great work.

Although Red Squirrels are under threat, there are still places where they are holding on: Scotland, north of England and the one I have painted hails from the Isle of Wight.
