A partly actual, partly imagined, and 'artistically titivated' image of Venice under snow and ice. Based on scenes from the Great European Freeze of 2012 , when even the Grand Canal surface froze , as did most European lakes and canals. A bit of 'artistic improvement' done to the view - particularly to the bridge over the Canali di Venezia - which in reality is a surprisingly stark steel girder affair.
