Well done Jenny, you can always come up with a masterpiece for the challengers! Love the crinkley ink. I’ve never read the book so at a disadvantage on this one, I’ve heard and seen snippets of the story….will have to get my thinking cap on.

It’s like those flames or the embers of a fire, you can see so much emerging from the glow, often not intended in the original work.

I actually already had the background for this - one of my previous experiments with the inks that I couldn’t find a use for at the time and had forgotten about until today. Still thinking about giant toadstools, though, may try another one!

Thanks, Frank! Yes, definitely worth a try, I’ve found the Neocolour II water soluble wax pastels are really good for working over old watercolours - as is adding a coat of gesso to any areas you don’t like and reworking on top of that.
