Little Egret

Like this a lot Jenny

Yes interesting Jenny. Not traditional indeed but why not, delightful image.

Love this very striking, graceful work Jenny.

This is brilliant, the superimposed method has given a 3D effect. Love the image, we have little egrets breeding near us quite successfully.

I first thought reduction print Jenny....and thinking how brave you are! I haven’t plucked up the courage either yet. Thank you for explaining the method, it works well and is very effective.

Thanks very much for the encouraging comments! I first saw a Little Egret on the River Mole - they’re such elegant little birds. We live very near the river and I walked my dog there every day during lockdown when the NT car parks were closed. I’d forgotten how peaceful the river is and how much wildlife lives there and have continued to walk there a few days each week.

Slightly Japanese in style, Jenny. Very stylish!

Excellent work Jenny, look it lots.

Many thanks, Marjorie, Richard and Paul! (Glad people like this, I wasn’t sure about posting it as it’s not really a traditional linoprint.)

An unusual approach Jenny and quite effective.

Beautifully done - lovely.

Thanks very much, Frank and Margaret!

Spot on Jenny but you are so consistent

Thank you, Dennis!

This is a new version of a linocut I did a while ago - changed a few things I wasn’t happy with. Have been trying out a few Japanese printing papers with some interesting results. This is a combination of two prints, one on a very lightweight translucent paper superimposed on one on a heavier paper. Not a traditional way of printing, but does give a soft two-tone effect and perhaps an idea for a reduction linocut which I’ve not yet been brave enough to tackle!
