Lovely design, this would make a great Christmas card

Many thanks John, Margaret and Annie. (Yes, I had thought I might use it for my Christmas card this year.)

I love the simplicity of lino cut and understand that creating it is far from simple!. I think it would make a great card too. It might be just the way I see things but I see a tail on the deer and try as I might, I cant look at it and not see it. I think a small break between the animal and the line of the field would take that illusion away. Having said that, It might be only me that sees it and I can see why you wouldn't want to break the flow of those beautiful lines.

Jenny this is super! It would make a great card for ‘you know when’ too.

Thanks very much Diana and Fiona! (Diana, the line where it joins the deer printed a bit wider than It should have done (it's easy to apply the ink a bit too thick in places) but I might re-cut it to make it a little thinner just so it's clear. Thanks for the input.)

Very striking I think this would make a beautiful Christmas card too Jenny.

Thanks, Carole!

Simple design but so effective I love it.

Thanks Val, comment much appreciated.

No, it looks great Jenny - I've still got to try out my lino, had them for over a year in their box!!

Thanks, Adele. Yes, you must try out your lino - I messed up the first one or two I tried, but once you start to get the hang of it they are really fun to do and make a welcome change from painting.

Jenny congratulations on winning the Christmas card comp! Well done!

Thanks, Fiona - I was surprised and so pleased to have won - I changed my entry at the last minute, glad I did!

Small lino cut (4" x 4"). First one I've done for a while, think I need more practice, can't seem to get the cuts as clean as I'd like.
