Sherwood Forest.

Sherwood Forest Oak Tree

Really like the way you have used oil pastel Gordon, I struggle with them.

Hi Fiona. It maybe helps me to use fairy cheap ones. I do like to press on with pencils, crayons & pastels. Not too keen on blending.

I think your style makes the most of the oil pastels, it keeps them open and airy if that makes sense. They can look a stodgy medium sometimes. I’m very familiar with Sherwood Forest, when I was a lass it and Clummber Park were my weekend playgrounds. That was before any of the touristy stuff was there. Fabulous places.

Fiona: Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park both familar to me for the same reasons.
