Clumber Bridge.

Clumber Bridge, sunset December 31st., 2009

A beautiful painting Ian. Now you are near my birth home, this was practically on my doorstep! You have portrayed the sunset very well. A gorgeous combination of colour. (wish I had as many pounds as the times I've walked across this lovely bridge.

Hi Carole. I love Clumber. It's such a shame the great hall here was lost. But the church is lovely. You must know Thoresby? That's where I was born and lived the first 13 years of my life.

Hi Ian, yes I know Thoresby too. I thought we were very lucky to have such beautiful areas as the Dukeries so close. Never short of somewhere to go for walks and never tired of Clumber Park. Walked around the lake in Clumber couple of years ago on a very hot day! All the best for a great New Year. Carole.

Very attractive use of watercolour = like the way the tree branches merge into the background without obscuring it.

Hi Robert, As you can probably tell, I dripped the paint on the paper then blew it across the page to create the twigs. However, I had had a couple of New Year whiskey's in advance. Sure does put one's blood pressure to the test!
