1950s Childhood

post-war childhood

Lovely...reminds me of mine, too!

Those were the days eh? Good memories Ian.

A superb sketch, I particularly like the Vampire jets as I remember them from when my dad was in the RAF.

Happy memories!

Thanks everyone. The village was Perlethorpe (still is). The Vampire jets overhead used to fascinate me with what seemed, to a small boy, a hole in the wings.

Two great posts today, Ian. They certainly bring back memories. We lads jumped up and down when we saw jets. Even the pram is nostalgic.

Thanks Lewis. Yes, no matter how hard up, a new pram always seemed a necessity then. (Not that mine had a Union Jack).

Brilliant construction Ian.
