Tough call but paid off really well! I know not everyone likes using Payne's Grey as it is an easily mixable colour but I use it a lot too, I find it has really nice tonal values.

A wonderful example of tones Greg, and a very nice scene.

Painted as a demonstration piece of monochromatic watercolours. This moody, winter landscape was painted in Paynes Grey only, and took just one and a half hours to complete, in front of an audience of art society members! It's not easy painting watercolours vertically...
