This is so good , like it a lot Gillian and you have painted it beautifully.

Beautifully balanced painting.

This caught my eye Gillian. I really like it.

This is a super watercolour and composition Gillian. Could i make a suggestion for your roofs. I have found a good grey for them is a mix of Cobalt blue + Raw umber. This is especially good when using Cobalt blue in the sky and the grey mix for the cloud shadow. Do hope this helps.

A really nice watercolour, lots of really interesting shapes and I like the colour palette

Brilliant composition and love the subtle palette with those very convincing shadows. The boat is beautifully painted Gillian.

Excellent watercolour Gillian, very well painted.

A lovely atmospheric piece, beautifully painted.

Thank you David for the tip for the roof grey and cloud grey, I will try it out. I have tried the greens adding a touch of red, thanks. Thanks also to Paul, Chris and Karen, Heather George Carole and Seok, so pleased to have your lovely comments on my work.

Beautifully painted Gillian

Its a pleasure Gillian, i always like to try to help fellow artists if i can. I was also helped so much in my early career after starting to paint when i was 45 years old.

A lovely eye-catching painting

Thank you Anne and Romila too. It’s only since 2018 that I have done delicate watercolours with the help of David Royle , I used to paint large oil canvases when I was in my teens with my dad, you could cover up mistakes then. I do more acrylics now than oils. Being retired in lockdown painting has kept me amused and this website has been wonderful.

Lovely painting, Gillian - love the eye-catching boat!

Thanks Anne, I liked the angle of the boat.
