Good sketch Fiona. The ground certainly looks different in colour just now after all the hot weather, even in our Northern climes.

That is lovely Fiona- you have really captured the wild beauty and colours of Mersehead. Mersehead is terribly dry at the moment but still beautiful.

Artgraph and water in sketch book. Had a wonderful day out painting and sketching along the south west Scotland solway coastline yesterday. This sketch is from the Bruaich hide on the RSPB reserve, it was the colours of the grasses that interested me; from the green sedges, the red of the sorrel seed heads to the parched golden grasses and wildflowers. No detail, just the swathes of colours.
