The colours work well Fiona and I love the addition of the telegraph post, most people would leave it out but it adds interest to the composition.

Oh wow, I really love this Fiona!

Beautiful painting Fiona, I like the colours and the light and shadows.

Great work Fiona, it looks very loose and spontaneous , with a nice choice of colours.

Love it Fiona, the spontaneity and colours are wonderful, Brilliant !

Lovely fresh modern feel to it Fiona smashing work indeed.

I agree with the other comments, the colours are fab.

Agree with Linda regarding the nice bright colours and the telegraph post adding interest.

So very colourful and spontaneous, Fiona. Great!

Sketching at its best Fiona.

Nice work Fiona. Has your stamp on it.

Love this view Fiona and your colours are so beautiful.

You have certainly brightened things up Fiona. Like that tele pole in front, gives a spacial sense.

But it works so well Fiona

Thank you very much everyone for your lovely comments. I started off without any drawing, just the paint splotched roughly where I wanted certain colours. When dry I scribbled here and there to give it a rough outline and shape.

Lively, good colour and I like it lots :)

This is great, Fiona. I love old chimney stacks!

Thanks very much Louise, Ellen, Margaret, Peter for your lovely feedback.

I truly like the brighter colours, Fiona - to my way of thinking they provide both life and dimension that lift the subject out of the ordinary.

Just posted a guess the horror film one. Thought I'd better tell you before vanished to the back pages :)

Thank you Maureen. I’m a newcomer to colour Wib, I have always shied away from a bright palette, preferring a more subdued palette. Some subjects however need that bright injection. Thank you for your comment. Thanks Dennis, lovely to see you back.

Thanks Gudrun!

12x9 watercolour and ink on Jackson’s rough. After painting Wigtown Bay, which I posted last week, and the mist came down, I went upstairs in the county buildings and painted this from the window. I used a brighter palette than the actual colours it looked a bit miserable.
