Not, rubbish at all, Fiona! It’s interesting, detailed, and with a dynamic palette. I particularly like the foreground grasses. It’s a nice one!

It s great! I love the vibrant colours and textures

I think it's a beauty Fiona, caught my eye immediately and that's a good sign for me. Mind you, so did the ex-wife so I don't always get it right. Expressive piece anyway so well done.

No Fiona its not rubbish, i think you have some wonderful colour and structure here.

Not Rubbish at all. Great texture, a busy painting with lots of lovely vibrant colour.

Like this very much Fiona. The sort of trend modrn art is at.

It's terrific Fiona. Colours are beautiful. I love it.

certainly looks "loose" enough for me Fiona - and acceptable to boot. "Loosening up" is something I find virtually impossible to do - which is why I particularly like the Chris Forsey dvds but they haven't worked as yet for me !!!

Ann, Petra, thank you ladies for your feedback, much appreciated. Alan lol.....did you look at this with your glasses on? Thank you darling! Linda, Rachel, Jim, Seth, you are very kind. I think I perhaps should have left the sky and foreground grasses as they are but painted the hills, cottages and pier less busy and more muted in colour. I don’t know 🤷‍♀️🙃

Thank you Mike, yes, it isn’t as easy as it sounds is it. I don’t have a problem with pastels or watercolour but oils.....I struggle.

Certainly grabs the eye Fiona. I love the sky and the foreground which you’ve kept loose. I hesitate to offer advice but agree maybe you tried to be too precise with the houses and middle section? That’s my only slight crit if you were aiming at loose. Otherwise it’s a lovely scene and great colours.

Snap! Fiona. My painting today was rubbish - yours at least has energy.

I quite agree Tessa, re-do the middle third. Thanks for your thoughts, I don’t mind crit at all.

Ha ha Marjorie, I’ve just left a comment on yours. I would be chuffed if I ended up with the same result you have. Energy, maybe, but it’s too much. Thank you for commenting.

Beautiful and exciting, Fiona.

Certainly not rubbish Fiona. Lovely colours and textures, caught my eye as I work through the Gallery.

No, no no it’s not rubbish. Colourful and vigorous.

You’re very hard on yourself I think it’s a lovely expressive piece Fiona , I exhibit with a female artist over here who sells a shed load of paintings weekly painting flowers in this loose thick impasto way, people love them for their freedom and looseness

Super sky Fiona, and a painting full of energy. The more you did of these the better they will become. That acid green is very bitting. LOL

Gosh there are loads of colours in this Fiona!

Caught my eye in the gallery Fiona, your rubbish comment is probably due to it not meeting your expectation. Look at it again in a day or so and you will be able to pick out the lovely sky, the buildings and boats appearing out of your well painted foreground. It’s lovely don’t be too hard on yourself.

Not rubbish...great. A vivid individual take on a landscape. This is art...I love it.

This certainly has impact Fiona, very striking.

Many, many thanks everyone for your kind and encouraging feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to give me your own thoughts on this. I may have another shot at it.....less colour and less detail?

Another cracking piece Fiona! You're certainly not afraid to experiment with different techniques and media are you!! :)

Certainly not rubbish Fiona. Colours unusually bright for you but I like it.

Super application of the medium - a real work of art Fiona

Just noticed this, and glad I did, a gem. Love the palette, and the thickness of paint is great. Really like this.

Rubbish it is not !! Good composition, colours and with "freedom".

Keith, Gudrun, Carol, Michael, Andre, Richard thank you ever so much for you feedback. I keep looking at it but I’m not getting any fonder of it I’m afraid! Lol

Love the way you painted the grass and the sky,a lot going on in the painting , I like it very much, Fiona.

Thank you very much Annick!

Hi Fiona - because I don,t log on very often I,m often surprised by the change in your work. This one - which I like - prompted me to trawl back through three years of your gallery and I really like the increase in colour although the old blue/ yellow which I always admired still shows up from time to to time

Good grief Peter, 3 years worth........you need to get out more! Lol Yes I agree with you, my work is all over the place, I’m jumping from medium to medium and getting more colourful. And yet, I’m not really into colour, I still prefer the more earthy hues, I’m in to printing at the moment but it’s hard going. Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on this one, I still don’t like it very much. Lol.

I really like the mood and colours used in this painting Fiona.

Shaun thank you very much for looking at my work, I appreciate the time you’ve taken to leave a comment.

16”x12” oil on Archers oil paper. I did a pastel sketch of this some time ago, thought I would attempt a loose oil...HA! It didn’t go right from the very beginning, too busy, not loose enough.....finished it anyway. Rubbish!
