I do like this Fiona and it works well in the inks. I would suggest the head is too small.

Its a great effort don't knock yourself out over it. Just curious as to why you got the shakes? lol

Is the head too small or the shoulders too wide Derek....that's about where it started to go all wrong!lol Thank you. Many thanks Michael, Gudrun, Paul.......Paul, I'm not sure what came over me....lol!

Good strong drawing Fiona, as the head is looking down, I don't think it is that small. In the small image on the gallery page it looks like he is being attacked by a shark. Which is obviously the left thigh on the larger version!

This is really excellent, Fiona! I really like how the figure looks like he's about to step out of the painting. Lovely tones and wonderful use of soft and hard edges.

Is this to prove equal opportunities for models Fiona lol, by the way you do not see these out of your kitchen window do you!!! Seriously good strong lines with the shading defining the body shape, nice one.

I had to go back and have a look at the shark Stephen, yes it does, even more so on the ipad!lol Thank you for your comment. Many thanks Seok! Yes Malcolm, I didn't want to appear to be favouring just one side.....and no, I don't see these kind of subjects from my kitchen window.....unfortunately...lol. If so, I would be quite content to be chained to the kitchen sink!lol Thanks very much for your comment.

Very great drawing, Fiona, it works very well (and he too, I suppose. lol).

A really strong sketch, Fiona, the Quink works so well for life studies. (Re Stephen's comment on the left thigh, I think it would work just as well with both legs in the normal standing position.)

It's pretty marvellous Fiona, a strong and beautiful study to be very proud of. No wonder you got shakes!

Lol...yes, thanks Cesare! Many thanks Dennis and Jenny for your comments.

I like the effect of this Fiona. Nice little piece.

Might be worth a try Jenny, I've already done another but without the head. Thanks very much for your observations. LOL......glad you like it Satu, thank you!

Haven't seen one out of my kitchen window either, good drawing

The shoulders fit the body to me, so it's the head IMHO

Wow......

Many thanks Adele! Me neither Glennis but we can keep looking!lol Thanks X I've done it again Derek...without the head, will post at some point. Thanks Peter!!

I like yours scribble too Fiona. I can't hep but see the shark now!! Diana

Me too Diana, does it look as though the shark is smiling to you, it does to me!!lol Thanks!

Lol Fiona....definitely smilimg...me and the shark! Love the work and the comments....never know what's coming next :)....

Thanks very much Sylvia.....lol! Glad it made you smile.

Hi Fiona, this is great, love the effect with the Quink, I used to use it but had forgotten all about it but it works beautifully with life drawing. The shakes are what makes it, I will have to give that a try!!

Thanks Caroline, yes get the Quink out!!!
