Beautiful and funnily enough, yellow was the next colour I was thinking of exploring more and you have beaten me to it! It works wonderfully well with the lilac background. Super work.

Yes, go for it Thea, it could prove to be a trickier challenge, just yellow! Thanks Helen, very kind of you.

Love this Fiona absolute cracker . So beautiful and so vibrant ten out of ten .

Looks like you had fun with this one Fiona and so you should! Just yellow I hear mentioned? ..(if you could see me now, my mouth has just turned down and there's a frown)..LOL

Yes Louise....YELLOW.....scary isn't it??!! It's Thea's fault Lol. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks also, Dennis and Glennis for your encourageing comments.

Beautiful Fiona, how you manage to portray the delicacy of the poppy petals with a knife I don't know! I have the feeling we are going to be seeing a few yellow paintings in the next few days!

Mellow yellow wonderful Fiona

Skilled knife work Fiona, love your poppies.

Those beautiful poppy heads spring forwards so well Fiona! They look 3D!

You'll have to do one with the red pop poke to make it four. They would look smashing together Fiona!

Great poppies again Fiona, they are dancing in the sunshine.

Well, is this another masterpiece that I missed yesterday, that palette knife is getting some use. Such depth of feeling and emotion has gone into this almost identical style and composition to your last posting. I await the arrival of your 'red' poppies with eager anticipation. Very well done Fiona.

Thank you very much everyone for your kind and encourageing comments....are you sure you want another one???!!!

Lovely work, Fiona! Love the lively knifework and the gorgeous palette.

Do like the way the marks work so well in this well balanced composition.

Fiona -I've just spent some time looking through all your galleries and am very impressed by the variety and scope of your paintings. You really so seem to be producing some beautiful paintings , all with your very recognisable style. Your development in oil paintings is amazing. Clever you and well done!!
