A delightful study, Fiona! Love the spontaneity of the piece, it has loads of atmosphere. It's lovely to see a "Fiona" after such a long while! I've only started returning to posting as well, after a long absence. I look forward to catching up on your work!

Welcome back Fiona and this ink and watercolour sketch has lots of life.

Gorgeous capturing of this swampy scene Fiona, and welcome back indeed!

If I could do sketches like that Fiona, I would be a much better artist! Good to see you posting again.

Delightful sketch, Fiona, and great to see you painting and posting again. Perhaps I will try to follow suit. These trees really seem to be dancing, particularly the left and middle ones viewed together.

Great sketch, love it.

Agree with above, nice sketch Fiona.

Great feeling in this one, Fiona. We have a lot of flooding where I live and you have caught the whole look of the submerged trees really well. I do like your water and the reflections as well.

I knew it was yours straight away, good to have you back painting - lovely sketch and great reflections

Many, many thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement. I hope I can get the motivation........and time, to do more. x

Hi Fiona, thanks so much for your lovely comment on my pastel portrait if David Frost, delighted to hear you think it's a good likeness, I'm very happy with it as we'll, I felt that I wanted to capture him with that instantly recognisable just about to interject into an interview with someone with a question or a point and he would have his mouth half open like that just ready to but in, thanks again, bye for now x

I knew this one was yours. I also think this is wonderfully sculptural and hugely effective. Keep going. I had a lull, but sketching got me back. You have had a bit of upheaval so don't be too hard on yourself.

You are very welcome Ros. Gudrun, thank you for your understanding comment.

Pen and wash, non waterproof sepia ink and Old Holland U. Marine. Just a sketch to try and get in the mood for something more serious.....hopefully!!!
