A rainbow Whitby! I really like the way you've drawn into the splash of colours, Fiona, and tippex? Of course... a great highlighter! Now was this drawn sitting, standing or on the floor?

Very different and very effective, well done.

ah yes, tipex and the good old biro :-) basics are brilliantly effective and more often than not, more effective than the rip off products on the market :-) i really like this painting, it looks like you really did have a lot of fun creating it :-) the fun shines through :-) do you draw lying down at all? just wondered :-) i think it could be difficult :-p

'Rainbow Whitby' I like that Jane. This was painted, stood up, at the kitchen sink.......on the draining board to be totally acurate. I have to admit not a first for me, I do it at the kitchen sink quite often! Lol! You should try it......

It's a bit daft Glennis, in fact it's a lot daft, but I did enjoy it. Rebecca, I'm still trying to get the hang of painting stood up! It would ceratinly put a whole new angle on art from a lyng down perspective. I expect someone has tried it. Thank you both for having a look.

whatever angle this was painted from it is a big success.....

Taint silly in my book - a lot of fun maybe - but great result.

Thanks Sylvia, you're very kind. Thank you Michael, tis a bit silly.......but yes, it was fun!

I like it too Fiona as it is, you could also add more detail with colours and use this as a wash ground if you were so inclined :) I love the ink flow into each other. Also I love the sea with tippex!

Very different for you Fiona and silly or not I think it works!Never tried painting at the kitchen sink but I must have a go! lol

Hi Carole, I was almost tempted to add more blocks of colour for the houses etc but couldn't make my mind up whether to carry on with inks or watercolour. Thanks for taking the time to comment Carole, appreciate it.

You don't know what you're missing Debs!! There is method to my madness believe it or not, a) close to water, I used lots of it on this one. b) I'm a muck bucket...my husbands words!! c) I use one of the spare bedrooms as an art room.....it's got a white carpet arrrhhhh!!!! I do cover it with a dust sheet but inks and muck buckets don't mix with white carpets.Lol!

You are brimming full of creativity and ideas, Fiona! Fresh and fun, not daft at all!

Many thanks Seok.

This is fun and different Fiona and very sensible to work at the kitchen sink with inks or indeed any paint, I've got the multi coloured marks on the carpet in my "studio" to prove it:)

Hi Val, I'd love to have somewhere to paint where I could throw the stuff about and not worry about staining expensive carpets. It's enough that it's up the walls without reaching the floor! So I play it safe and do the really, 'won't ever come out of the carpet' work at the kitchen sink. Thanks for your lovely comment Val.

Yes, it rained here again yesterday!! So to cheer myself up I had a flick through some of my old photo's and found one of Whitby. I think it was taken from the other side of the bay near the 'Magpie cafe' but I could be wrong. Had lots of fun with this silly painting, the background is wet into wet inks, all the line work is biro and the white highlights are, would you believe, 'tipex'! !6"x12 SAA practise paper, haven't a clue what make the inks are.
