I think you have made a terrific job. Very autumnal........

Indeed. What can I add except I shall look forward to more!

After your recent lovely comments, Fiona, I just had to have one last look...and guess what.... I like this picture except that the cottage looks a bit flat. Since the light is coming from the right, the wall with the door in it needs to be a fraction darker....say, similar to the middle shadows on the road. But not so dark that you have to adjust the tone of the bushes in front of it........otherwise you will end up trying to adjust everything! Also, an extra tone on the roof...maybe...? Otherwise, well done!

Nice fresh, confident painting here Fiona!

Lovely painting Fiona , I love this colour palette.

Lovely painting Fiona, you get better and better

Another cracker Fiona, like Glennis says you just get better and better and now I know how to make a nice soft grey as well :)

Beautiful Fiona! You are so confident with your watercolours, every stroke in it's place with a clean, crips result. Well done!

Thank you satu, you're very kind.

Thank you Alan once again for allowing me to use one of your paintings. I used colour combinations I don't normally use for this one; I think this is only the second time I've ever used cobalt and used with light red makes a lovely soft grey, I'll certainly try that combination again. Adding more light red to the mix gives that nice light plummy colour for middle distant shrubs etc. I continued to use C. blue with raw sienna for the greens, and for the autumn foliage in the trees varying mixes of R. sienna and B. sienna. For the real darks; V. brown and P. grey. I think I could have gone a little darker with the shadow colour, which I usd the same mix of C. blue and L. red for. Arches paper 16"x12" and Old Holland watrcolours apart from the C. blue which is W&N.
