Some where in Somerset

It's good to try new materials. I like the church with it's varied colour.

I too like the colour washes with the addition of pen - good painting Fiona

I like this very much, Fiona. Love your colours and the lively, spontaneous pen work. Well done!

Lovely painting Fiona

This is very appealing Fiona, I love the way the little church tower almost looks as if it's blushing!

Thank you very much everyone for your lovely commets.

I like the liveliness the pen work brings to this painting Fiona.

Cheers Val,really appreciate your comment.

Hang on Studio Wall

Pen & wash of a church some where in Somerset. I took the photo so long ago.... I can't remember! It's a bit 'scruffy' as I was experimenting with different papers. This is done on a piece of ordinary cream coloured card with a textured surface, that is used for greetings cards etc. I did a quick pencil outline, put on the washes, then finally scibbled over it with an ink pen. The washes tend to sit about on the surface for a while but I quite liked the effect the textured surface had on the top pen work. No good if you want transparent washes!
