A very "moody" picture. I like the colour in the walls and the stormy sky.

Excellent pen-n-wash Fiona, youve avoided the trap of precission that so many fall into when doing this sort of work. best, Mick

Lovely painting Fiona. A little bit scary!

I really like this Fiona- very atmospheric.! Thank you for your comment on my 30 minute watercolour -much appreciated.

I prefer the addition of colour in this one. Super tree and atmosphere!

Very, very atmospheric, Fiona. Because of the light, bright colours on the left side, there is more depth in it. Also: beautiful sky and tree. Very well done, I like it.

I like this a lot ... agree with Mick's point about avoiding precision, too.

Very dramatic - like the washes. well done

Thank you very much everyone.......I was striving to get a touch of atmosphere.

I like it Fiona , it's quite dramatic !

Fiona, I like it a lot too! It has got something really attractive in it, I like the coulours and the stormy feeling.

Works so well - more like it please

Thank you Denise, Satu, Michael for your very kind and encouraging comments.

Can almost feel the crackle of lightning Fiona - well done!

Thanks Debs, I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Lovely dramatic painting - very Piper-ish. Love the tree, especially the top left hand corner. Well done!

Thanks Jeanette.

Very creepy and atmospheric, Fiona! I think you achieved the atmosphere in spades!

Thank you very much Seok.

Fiona this reminds me of my favourite artist John Piper. Excellent.

Thank you Margaret, funny you should mention John Piper, a previous posting mentioned the same name so I googled him...... after looking I too am a fan of his work. I have a long, long way to go to get anywhere near his standard though. Thank again.

Pen & Wash of one I posted a while ago which didn't turn out too good. I've added colour washes to this one.......still not happy with it. It's Carlton cemetary in Edinburgh. Thanks for looking.
