Full of atmosphere Fiona which I find almost tangible whenever I've visited Glencoe so you've caught it well. I'd like to see the rest of this painting , go on, post it please.

Nice fresh picture.I climbed at Glencoe when I was 12 .It was the middle of winter with very thick snow-brought back a few memories.

Thank you David, hope they are good memories. Val I'm sorry but the rest of the picture has already gone to watercolour heaven. Take my word for it, it was dreadful! Thanks for taking a look.

Wow Fiona! This is really, really atmospheric, and I really love the way your washes merge. It's super!

This is quite dramatic and atmospheric piece you have created here Fiona, like this one very much.

Many thanks Seok, Graham for your comments you are very kind. It was an atmospheric day when I took the picture, dull, heavy and foreboding. I think even when it's bright sunshine on a summers day Glencoe still has 'atmosphere', it isn't what you see, it's what you feel. Thanks again.

Fiona I like the looseness of the washes in this picture especially the sky and the light. Thank you for your comment on my storm.

love this - colours are lovely - I have done this cropping myself works very well

Thank you Margaret, thank you Valerie. Cropping good parts from a painting certainly works, I've never thought about trying it before.

Missed this one Fiona - beautiful colours, love the mist over the mountain.

Thanks very much Glennis, I appreciate your comment.

Stunning light and lovely colour.

Many thanks Lesley.

Just finished a watercolour of Glencoe taken from a photo I took last October. The only part of the painting I like is this bit, so instead of it ending up in the bin I've copied Sylvia's example and cropped this part from the larger piece.. Good idea Sylvia! Size: 8"x11"
