Jackie I have re-posted, realised I hadn't cropped the picture. Sorry I lost your comments, thanks anyway.

Yes a jaunty happy little picture Fiona. I like it though it's not your usual style, it's nice to try something different.

This is so special, Fiona. Love the way you faded out the colours!

A nice celebration of lovely colours and what watercolour is capable of.

Thank you Pat, I like to have a go at something a little different now and again. Thank you Mia, I always panic about foregrounds, so fading out was the cowards way out!!

Thea, this is the first time I've used lots of water with the pigment, I must admit, it was quite exciting!! Thanks Thea.

The secret of watercolour is in the title - Water. So many don't know how to use it - used to full advantage here in this lively little scene

Interesting style used here.Great fresh and breazy colours -David

Thank you Michael and David for your comments....I'm really surprised anyone likes this, I was just playing about really. I don't know if I'll do anything like it again. Thanks again.

Good to try different methods, it gives you sometimes a freedom that you didn't know was there. I like this!

Thank you Satu, I'm glad you like it.

Fun it may be, Fiona, but not silly! It's got lovely colors and is very fresh and spontaneous.

Thank you Seok, it is very bright compared to my usual colours.

Nothing wrong with fun - was it not the great Humphrey Lyttleton who advised us never to banish "silly"?

Really like this a lot Fiona, I can see touches of Ted Wesson tree techniques in this one, a fine painting whith a nice composition and use of colour .

Sorry Fiona my comments were supposed to be on your latest painting with the snow scene and trees so hope so accept apologies for commenting on the wrong painting , must be another senior moment on my part !!!

Surrealistic, beautiful, cool! just love the colours and style.

A bit of silly fun........painted from a photo taken from a hotel window, looking across the village roof tops.
