For a first try this is not bad Fiona. my first try was was not as good as this.--- learn to thin the inks a bit , and to add white to some of the colours .--- there I go again poking my nose in-- tell me to sod off

love the bright colours, Fiona - I'm trying with some new Inktense blocks and the colours are so strong they startle me, but will keep on with them and find the right balance between being startled and being cheered by their brightness...

Thanks for the advice Charles, I haven't a clue how to use them and am feeling my way with them. I didn't realise they could be mixed with the white, I tried to mix them with each other but without much success. Thanks for your positive remarks.

Thank you for your comment Jane, they are scary aren't they! I think Charles has the answer....take more water with them!!

I use FW acrylic inks they water down a lot and they do mix well.---- raw umber + white a nice stoney colour.--- I have never heard of Brusho inks. Keep trying

This is charming, Fiona! I think it would make a great illustration for a children's book!

Really like the vibrant colours in these ink paintings, I've had a set of FW inks for ages but can't seem to get the hang of them, might have to dig them out and follow charles's advice
