Escape route

Like the painting - which medium is it? The background and surrounding vegetation which i personally find very difficult have turned out very well .Hope the peacocks ( and hens) got away!

I like the colour and variety in your greens, and the sense of urgency with which the poor old peacock is escaping your marauding grandchildren (little horrors..). Did you do this from memory/snapshots? You have conveyed a real feeling of light; especially like the brown/reddish elements - good, lively colour, none of this milk-chocolate brown that so quickly deadens a painting, especially in watercolour. I guess this is w/c?

looking again, I suspect it isn't watercolour... whatever it is, well done..
