Excellent painting, Emma. Interesting to see the pen and wash technique in such a complex scene as this. It's worked beautifully.

I think its lovely Emma, there are some gorgeous colours in there.

It's so good Emma, I see nothing wrong with your trees and I love all the colours you have used.

Thank you Lewis, Linda and Margaret - it's always good to get independent opinions, perhaps I get too involved with my own paintings and can't see the wood for the trees 😄

Great painting - lovely colours and like pen work

I think this is lovely, the colours all look good together especially the stones in the bridge and the way you have used the pen has given it an added dimension. I really like it.

Hang on Studio Wall

I am quite pleased with the foreground and background, less happy with the trees in the centre ground. Ink and watercolour wash on Clairontaine HP paper, 9" x 12"; Permanent Rose, Yellow Ochre, Winsor Yellow, French Ultramarine.
