Very effective sky and its reflection in the still water, Dympna. There is a nice balance between the darker colours in the sky and the earthy colours in the foreground.

I'd call that a cloud of foreboding - you know you're going to get wet if you don't leg it quickly. Very well painted - hope your major surgeries are now firmly in the past.

Living in Perth WA. At the end of 2017 after spending 8 months in and out of hospital with 3 major surgery, I promised myself to find a teacher and try oil painting. I felt I was not making any progress with my watercolours. Now I am painting in oils on a regular basis. The above painting is from a photo taken by my daughter-in-law while on holidays in Exmouth. 56cm x 76cm oil on canvas. I won an award “Best in Show” in 2019 in the Western Australian Society of Arts Exhibition, held in Fremantle.
