I think this would be better if the houses higher up the hill were a bit less distinct. They tend to draw the eye away from the castle

Thanks Diana, I think you're right. I used lots of artistic licence here, I took the photo in January with no leaves on the trees, and the foreground field is actually a car park. It's a really imposing site. Doug
