This is a re-working of a class oil painting, I believe. I recognize the drapery, and have forgotten the artist - it's quite different, of course. The work from which I think this has basically been drawn was one in which the artist repainted the lining of the woman's dress after it had been exhibited: he had a huge collection of theatrical fabrics: name recalled - Edwin Austen Abbey; the painting hangs in Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery.

"Classic" oil painting; didn't mean "class", even though it might be.
